Game Description
Partum Artifex is mainly a puzzle game with an emphasis on story and atmosphere. Throughout the game, you’ll be challenged with solving puzzles directly connected to the twisted works and mind of a serial killer. In order to progress you need to put yourself in the killer’s shoes, and think like him in order to solve the puzzles. Willingly or not, he wants you to help him finish his magnum opus.
By exploration, reading, taking notes, finding items and paying attention to the environment, you’ll be able to piece together what happened in this eerie house and what the serial killer is trying to achieve with it. Gameplay in Graveyard Architect is divided into 2 stages. The first one (day) is based on building a cemetery, decorating it, and burying the dead. The second, night stage is a punishment for the lack of diligence during the day, the angry inhabitants of the cemetery want to take revenge on you.
DAYIn the daytime phase of the game, you must complete the received orders and bury the properly delivered dead. Additionally, you can decorate your cemetery to provide them with a dignified rest, but not only that. Your task is also to obstruct the movement of potentially rebellious dead so that they have trouble getting to you in the moment of rebellion.
NIGHTWhen night comes, the (un)dead will punish you for your incompetence and rise from their graves. It will be caused by insufficient decorations, clutter in the cemetery, and other unfavorable activities during the day. You must fight for your life and pray that dawn will come sooner than you think. Don’t let them leave the cemetery. The dead site is right there.
